BHUJ
The old walled city of Bhuj is the most important
town in the area. The oldest museum in Gujarat is located in Bhuj.
Places of Interest : Museums, Ayanamahal, Cenotaphs, Lakes,
Old Palace, Flamingo Sanctuary.
HOW TO GET THERE :

Road : Bhuj is connected by State
highway upto Bhachau (85 Kms.) and from Bhachau to Ahmedabad by
national highway No. 8A (310 Kms.).

Various domestic airlines are available connecting
Ahmedabad and
Bombay.

Rail : Direct trains between Bhuj-Ahmedabad
and for Bombay from Gandhidham.
Installed
in 1946, this is the only shakti-Peethasthanam with a temple, in the
whole of India. A life-size marble idol of Ma Bhuvaneshwari in the
gorgeous temple deifies the whole centre with sublime bliss.
Devotees, both Indian and foreign, visit the temple in large numbers
and have Darshana of "GADI" ofBrahmaleen JagadguruAcharya, Shri
Charanatirth Maharaj Shri, theillusrious founder of the
peethasthanam.
A find of tremendous archaeological significance.
This site, 87 Kms. from Ahmedabad was discovered some 20 years ago.
Lothal has proved to be a full-fledged settlement of the Harappan
era dating as far back as the 2nd millennium B.C.
Situated over Machhu river, Ms is a beautiful
city having, the famous Jadeshwar Mahadeva Temple nearby, where you
have good boarding and lodging facillities. Kalikaji, Chandalia,
Dholeshwar Mahadevaand Faleshwar Mahadeva Temples are other
attractions.
